Did Trump Really Think Pence Was in Danger?

The president gets death threats every day. Did trump necessarily believe that he was in danger when death threats to a president or a vice president probably are so routine and the secret service is so qualified, probably they were fine. Do you think the crowd could have actually got ento pence? Let's say they they reached the finaldo or wherever pence was, there would be so many bullets flying through that door, the crowd would just be mowed down. And i don't think the crowd had enough fire power that they would have responded at any way, except in a medical emergency.
