The Importance of Explicit Intent When Dealing With Injuries

A lot of times when the hurt isn't a physical one, we do this thing where we feel the need to explain our intent. We think that by explaining our intent, we're going to take away the impact or the hurt that some one is experiencing. And what would be the appropriate response when some one is having an injury is to say, oh my gosh, i am so sorry.
