What Is Jealousy?
Jealousy is the emotion that's associated with what's called mate guarding, where you want to kind of protect it from being interfered with by other potential rivals. So when you see if you're a man and you've got a girlfriend and she is flirting or having sex with or giving gifts to any other guy, it behooves you to keep track of that - because there's a future. And under prehistoric conditions, among the things that might lead to is she has sex with another guy and gets an STD that you don't want.
