The Importance of Sacrifices in the Temple

The life is in the blood, and so I've given you the blood on the altar to expiate for your sin. The slaying of these animals from the herd or from the flock did carry this strong message that death is the consequence of sin but God is willing to take this animal's death in place of you. And do you think we'll have a sacrifice again in the end times with the new? I don't think so. After the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ for sins that God would revert to animal sacrifices again.
