Why This Universe: A Space-Based Gravitational Wave Detector

One of the things I'm most excited about in terms of space-based gravitational wave detectors is the possibility they could detect a background of gravitational waves that was produced in the early universe. So this is all speculation, but it's possible there may have been really sudden phase transitions or other events in the early universes. It's possible that these planned or proposed experiments could detect that background and teach us what happened right after the Big Bang. We are so excited to be growing with you.
