The Importance of the Gospel in Western Civilization
Christianity transformed western civilization and even as much of modern Europe declares itself post-Christian it's still so deeply Christian in its world view laws and values. By disparaging the West do we not in a sense also undermine the work of the gospel in the West and its example why are we so hard on the West holding it to standards that have never been met by any other civilization thanks for what you do yes I mean I'm deeply ambivalent about this because there are many many things in western civilization which are fruits of the gospel for which we should be deeply grateful.
