Having an Emergency Response System

Key to having a functioning emergency response system is reliable location data or mapping. Without effective systems for identifying where patients are, it's impossible to meet their needs in places where accurate maps have traditionally been lacking. Technology is helping some communities leap frog into the information age. In east africa, the drone pilot, kadija abdulla ali, works with low cost maps made with drones as part of the zanzibar mapping initiative. The information is helping to identify residential areas likely to suffer from outbreaks of cholera. We provide a map to see the effect addressing public health needs.
