The Role of Name Change in the Story of Trans Folks

The idea that there is a biblical vision of masculinity or femininity is wild if you actually read scripture. And so I find lots of residences of people who challenge gender norms and stand outside of binaries all throughout scripture. When people's names change, it's usually a moment to pay attention because they are stepping into some kind of new role in community.
