Having a Friend in the Elders Ministry

I was a younger elder when I first came on board and that was good because we didn't have the oldest person in our church I think was 40 at the time. And I'm obviously a much older now but back then I think one thing I would redo and something I help encourage younger elders and younger pastors who are coming on is not to make the mistake that I did. Confessed and repented and learned and matured. Sometimes you do say no to some of those other things because it is important to be an elder but you're maybe sometimes going to say yes right.
