There is this bogeyman because it causes your LDL to go up. Dave Feldman, who if you haven't had on your show, you certainly should have is in the middle of looking into that. He's looked at some data sets and found that people who have high LDL high HDL and low triglycerides don't seem to have high rates of cardiovascular disease. But I think for pally and saturated fats, even the dietary guidelines say don't eat more than 10% from pally andaturated fatsbecause we think it might be bad for heart disease.
