Insulin deficit is missing insulin and the result is typically that your blood sugar is going to go up. Adrenaline spikes your blood sugar for most people, but whether or not you actually have to correct that adrenaline spike is another thing to pay attention to. The reason we define growth hormones as diabetes is because when your kid goes to sleep at night they are inundated with growth hormones which cause their blood sugar to rise.
