Three studies tend to find benefits in favor of training with accommodating resistance. Anderson study found that through deeper levels of knee flexion, squatting with a ton of band tension wasn't great for improving jump height. Once again, like with one max strength rep, it wasn't that it was less beneficial than training with straight weight.
