The Eucharist in Hebrews 1223
In Hebrews, the author invokes Abel's offering Melchizedek and his priestly blessing. He also relies on Eucharistic typology that would become commonplace in early Christian commentaries as well as liturgical poetry. But what remains uncontested is the overarching theme of the letter to the Hebrews: the new covenant.
