The Blind Spot in My Historical Knowledge

In 1961 John Kennedy's rule columbia teaching at hunter college he gets his first year in. In 1961 uncle Sam comes calling and he's drafted into the army as an English teacher. He ends up getting stationed at Fort Buchanan in Puerto Rico of all places. There is tensions sort of happening I mean Fidel Castro had been in power in Cuba for only two years so the Bay of Pigs thing I think kicks in 1962.
