The Importance of Representation in Perception

YC: Are people just reporting the bias or are they actually experiencing the bias? So I assume when you see this response pattern in the brain we can then say that they're experiencing the world with this bias. YC does work on motivated reasoning and specifically how goals and beliefs influence perception so base level perception which makes him part of a long-standing debate in social psychology. He says he doesn't want to be playing the conclusion but his research shows evidence for both answers.
