The Encounter with the Green People

Gretchen struggles to find medicine and food for her sick sister, but discovers a clearing filled with spruce trees. She attempts to take some spruce cones to survive the winter, but is confronted by small green people who ultimately guide her to a hill with thousands of spruce trees.
