Epidemiological Transmission
The economic side of an infection affects the epidemiological transmission. People cut back on what we call social consumption if infections are raging. And that has an effect on the economy, even in the absence of any lockdown measures. If people don't go to restaurants as much anymore, then also the transmissions decrease.
