The Benefits of Chanting

Chanting helps to slow the mind down and get into this tempo of being aware of the mind, aware of the breath. As you're building up your practice more and more, some people have trouble observing progress in their practice. This can sometimes perhaps be a little bit dissuading for them. But through chanting, you have this audible indication that your practice is improving. And this can help motivate you along the path.
