Prisoner Bonaparte is a man never to be let out of sight. Sahud Sun-Lo, the island's new governor, will have no truck with all the civility. Napoleon has just left to do what he's done best these last few months. His rambling monologues are soon channeled into official memoirs. He was able to create this myth of the ill-treated figure. It gave him six years in order to write his memoirs which turned out to be the biggest bestseller of the 19th century.
