The Unconscious and the Concept of Repression

The unconscious and the notion of repression are not simply about something hidden from the conscious, but about how they operate there. And i was really thinking about this a lot in the context of all this recent crisiss whatever we call them, including the climate crisis and on. I think the way we still go on as if they didn't exist is precisely by acknowledging their existence with our business as usual. It's not so much like straight out denial, saying, ok, ther people that say covid does not exist. They are people who say climate change does not exist,. But i think the fact that they probably will act at some point after morrow is just part of it.
