Building a Better Relationship With Your Estimators

If you're in a place that has a toxic relationship, you know that you're going to get beaten over the head with the schedule and it's a weapon. You can still make the estimates because they will still make you better at architecture. And even if nobody listens to them, learning how to do the estimates is a good skill for when you get into some place that they will listen and you'll be good at it. That is a great, much more positive career focused piece of advice than what Annie Dillard said.
