Apollo 13 left earth's orbits on target to fulfil its mission. The first 56 hours or so were pretty uneventful. When the crew filmed themselves on board the spacecraft for t v back on earth, no channels decided to show it after neil armstrong and apollo 11 had landed on the moon. Lunar missions simply weren't that interesting any more. They had lost their novelty. Soon enough, the entire ry would be watching.
