The Center of a Totality
Derrida says that the center both belongs to the structure and exists outside of it. So because the center can apparently move around, it is kind of given a little bit of a free-playedness. We might say it is a place of joy. And it is structuring around the idea of joy for children, let's say, that gives the sandbox its character. But that idea of joyness is by no means reserved for the sandbox. It can move somewhere else.
