Thornly was writing a book about oswald three years before the kennedy assassination, which was a curiosity for a lot of people. He ends up in los angeles in late 64, 65, and starts editing what is considered probably the first libertarian news letter called the innovator. And so that was kind of a theme about the book. It was based upon thornly himself, other marines he knew during that period, including oswald.
In this episode, we chat with writer and historian Adam Gorightly on the life, work and ideas of Kerry Thornley, aka Omar Khayyam Ravenhurst or simply Lord Omar, Jesse Sump, the Grand Caliph of California, and Ho Chi Zen; author of Zenarchy and The Idle Warriors; co-founder of Discordianism and co-author of the Principia Discordia.
