The most points that go into the 10-year risk score goes to age. A calcium score of zero is one of the strongest negative risk factors for subsequent cardiovascular events. It might take someone whose estimated risk is quite high and shift them the post-test probability downward enough where they might feel comfortable deferring statin therapy.
