What the American Public Wants Out of K-12 Education

The workforce index, essentially, is the education index that comes out tomorrow. It's four years of trade off data on what the American public wants out of K-12 education. In 2019, preparing for college was a top 10 priority for every demographic in the country. The pandemic has completely reshaped this. Preparing kids for careers and preparing them to do work that's meaningful and fulfilling? That's what we want now. We are at risk of losing public support for this because it is no longer about doing better. It's about doing different.
