colonialism and christianity, mostly, all the stuff is considered pretty taboo to talk about. I've had readers who asked their parents about aspects of our indigenous religion or culture after reading fresh water,. And ther parents got very alarmed. However, you don't have to lieve in something for its to be real. Even though people claim not to believe in indigenous cosmology any more, they still know that it's real. So bearing that in mind, what colonialism did was convince them that as evil. And so then indigenous fate traditions are considered of the devil.
