The Slowness of Pause

Time is much more elastic and flexible than we realize. I think now time is decoupled from the dictates of the clock if you like that always open to and looking for those moments where it sort of deepens or extends. There's a lovely phrase from a German journalist called Stefan Klein which is if we give more life to our time we give more time to our lives and it doesn't mean more minutes. And there might be a huge amount of stuff in improvisation that doesn't make sense but still makes some kind of sense. The whole thing is verging on chaos, isn't it? But then again so does improvising with people who don't even know each other. So
