The Holy See's Propaganda to Get Cardinal Brennys Out of Prison
The plan or the expectations used to have been that he'd have got on a plane to Rome in the first instance and then gone somewhere else, possibly the Dominican Republic. Cardinal Brennys has said he absolutely did not give any kind of exhortation or strike any kind of deal with the Ottega regime. So it looks to me like this really was Alvarez didn't know this was coming. And I wish that the pontiff had made Bishop Alvarez a Cardinal.
