Gravitational Wave Background
We only really have observational knowledge of what happened at year 400 thousandsh. But we know that we can receive nutrinos when supernove go off. So it could very well be, if there are densities over densities under densities, that maybe we could map those out to one second after the big bang - which is just a crazy idea. And this comes from things like primordial black holes, evaporating mergers and other things going on in the early universe. The gravitational waves that they gave off could still be moving through space,. literally collapsing and expanding at the fraction of an atom level the size of the universe.
