The Advantages of Playing in Shark Infested Waters

There's a classic study about it in the hardcore with seals showing that seals would go into shallow waters and, you know, from the land and play vigorously socially with each other. And this is the time when those seal pups would get attacked and eaten by sea lions who would be lurking in the area. We really don't know the details, but certainly if a large proportion of those seals were being killed by the sea lions, you'd think that that would sort of become eliminated from the population.
