The Church Did Not Determine the Canon

The church recognized the canon, but didn't invent it or created. Why can't the Holy Spirit still guide that author to genuinely preserve that apostolic thought? Right. The church is also an epistemological path to truth. And so if God using the church has said, I want this in the text of scripture and what my son did on this earth then through the church, that would be binding.
