How to Pay Bills for Friends and Family
If the college does allow you to pay with a credit card, you can still do the 529. You withdraw to your bank account and as long as you have that receipt showing that you paid a valid education expense, then it's a legitimate withdrawal from your 529. And similar to that is our next one on the list and that's paying bills for friends and family.
