What Does It Mean for a Lacanian to Count to Four?
The object of study in psychoanalysis is the minimum irreducible distance between any two entities that allows one of them to emerge as an object. In this space of differentiality, we discover lack and let me be clear. We do not discover lack. We find it. What does it mean for a Lacanian to count to four? I'm not going to answer that question yet. Right now, I think we've got our three entities outlined and ready to go here.
