Popper's Utopian Social Engineering
In Plato, Popper sees first and foremost an anti-democratic philosopher. He would slot every citizen into a rigid place within a hierarchical society according to the judgment of aristocratic elite leaders. Personal freedom is of little regard in the ideal state that Socrates describes. Even more damningly, the political project of the republic is in Popper's interpretation utopian.
