Thisus gresham's law and money is about scarcity. It says that if the value of a currency is divergent from its real value, then it creates an incentive for people to hoard or borrow good money in order to buy better ones. And so this whole game, the shelling point of this game, is scarcity. You can't just ignore the consequences of someone else holding a money that is harder than yours; you're going to be economically out compete.
