'Dragon's Layer'

Gellidon's layer, like a lot of dragon's layers, are just collections of things that they've either stolen victoriously or recovered. And as you know, gelledon hunts to the north around eiselcross and a that various region. So at some point in the pass gelledon had uncovered, whether intentionally or in passing, some aorian weapon that still had some functionality to it,. She brought it back to her lair, kept it as like a trophy decoration, and if anything she really felt was an intense threat, maybe try and see if it's functional.
