The Importance of Long Term Investments in Career Planning
The main mistake that I think people make in in career planning is optimizing too much for for short term satisfaction or money. If instead you're trying to focus on how can I make a choice tomorrow that will just help me build up skills and human capital and connections, that's like a much easier choice because you're not committing to something indefinitely. And so and I think this actually helps a lot with the paralysis that people often feel when they're trying to choose a career.
