In 20 50, we anticipate that the cost for direct air capture is going to be around 99 or a hundred dollars a ton. Still still superexpensive compared to what prices for carbon offsets are to day. And there could be benefits to this, right? One of the benefits to such extremely high prices is that this will function as a effectively carbon tax. All those companies that have aat rogal, they won't be able to rely on carbon offsets as a lifeline or get out of jail free card.
