The Origins of Letters in Egypt
The average papari had a large enough wealth and household to have people on the go all the time carrying letters or bundles of letters. A lot of evidence comes from Egypt simply because the papaya are preserved in Egypt. The letter carries coming back straight away, so quickly write a letter, at least tell me you're well. Any letters in the papaera anyway, express a sort of uncertainty about, oh, well, we'll just get there.
