PERS and Chauncey Wright Wrangled Over James' the Will to Believe

PERS' set of James' The Will to Believe that paper and the thesis in it injures a serious man very much. So not something a serious man should be going near. Chauncey Wright argued him into the ground saying that if a belief is good for me to believe, then I have a duty to believe it. They were wrangling over these issues right from minute one. And it's very interesting to see that these very divides are still very present in the pragmatist tradition.
