Russia and China - What's the Big Thrust?
The strategy seems to see it leading with something that could be characterized as a Russian defeat in Ukraine and a success by the Ukrainians. In Russia's doing most of that work for us on its own because it is quickly becoming less military capable, poor, more isolated and less capable of imposing its will. And I think they're trying to make the argument that all of these billions of dollars that we're pouring into Ukraine and all of this energy that is going into the punish and isolate Russia efforts really are going to be a time bound kind of phenomenon. This is not the new normal forever because we do have to deal with China but now is the time to make those efforts.
