The Legend of Thomas and the Three Nights Repeating
Some of the lore is borrowed from lore that we're familiar with already. There's another real story that this is referencing. The Flannan Isles Lighthouse incident where three lighthouse keepers completely disappeared in 1900, which is right around the time that this movie is set. So I think that's another big part of again, just putting you in the headspace of it's historical.
