The Mixed Evidence in Loneliness in Men Versus Women
There is some evidence that loneliness might be different based on your cultural or racial background. A lot of it has to do with how integrated you are on your social network, it might depend on where you live. People from individualistic as compared to collectivistic cultures tend to experience higher loneliness. There's been a couple of studies that have shown that there's definitely increased risk for loneliness across certain genes.
