Home Automation - How Did You Get Started?

Homesties is a home automation tool that lets users remotely control their homes and businesses. The app was created by former Internet Service Provider employee, Chris Houghton. He says he learned to program SCADA systems at work but never got around to building his own version of the system. Now it's available in more than 100 countries for $99 per month or about $1,000 with no monthly fee.
