Brazil is not out of the woods. It's kind of quite weak government, you know, it only won the popular vote by about one and a half cent in the presidency. But behind that fragility is this dynamic sort of an tale of activists who've built something remarkable. That to me is the modern anatomy of power in many places where ideas don't come from permanent living in government or from the increasingly sort of close world of aging political parties but they come from think tanks and social movements.
