The Importance of Morning Pages

On his side of things, I am doing the morning pages. I will continue to do them because I think there's a lot of interesting decisions and ideas that come out of that. One day right before I started writing the morning pages, I had checked email on my phone - which is a thing I have been trying to eliminate from my morning routine for a long time. And very long story and winding journey later, I ended up deleting email from my phone and I haven't seen any negative side effects of this. But even then, I'm not sure it will ever lead me at least in a way that warrants me checking it first thing rather than two hours later.
