There is indisputably something called translation that people refer to in their everyday lives as they are doing it. No amount of metaphysical jargon is going to alienate subjects from these acts and activities, you know, to a large extent. Ultimately, it's subjects like these that sustain the meanings of these terms as meaningfully anthropological concepts for us.
