Liz O'Nal was a role model in many ways to folks who had never seen someone like her at the level she is at. How can we take these allegations seriously, but still critique a culture of fat shaming that made a world where there was only one of Liz O'? I don't think it helps just as a statement. It took two days for this statement to come out and it felt way too long and defensive. The first lesson of crisis PR response is issue a statement quick and make it as short as possible.
