The Importance of Complication in Journalism
The idea that the storm is coming is a much bigger story and resonates more with people than kitten saved from being up a tree. People have tended to want and respond to for generations, not today, not yesterday, but generations is the news that seems threatening to them. And so complication could be a positive thing. It could, you know, you can win the lottery. That's the complicating thing in your life. Yes.
